Happy Earth Day ~

looking to the sky
in the tree and way up high
wondering
where do owls reside
in the branches they do hide
and spy
upon all that lay
and stride
upon the earth
until they glide

  55. Owls: harbingers of bad luck, ill health, or death.

    Hi Tammie,

In the 3 cultures I have lived with, Owls are in Malays, Hantu Birds. Hantu meaning ghost.

My own experience, I was going to keep this in my book, but I am sharing it with us.

Mum was pregnant with number 6. Maternal Grandma had come to visit. An Owl came in the evening, we were very excited, and got Dad to catch it. Dad had spent a few years in England and did not believe in this, but grand ma made dad release it. and even went on and on why Dad had received all those Westerne Education and became stupid.

Dad relesed the owl to pacify her.

We were not even allowed to mention this WHY? Why?

years later, I had a discussion with Dad, he said, my big bro had a small cleft lip, and there was plenty of supersistion. He didn't want History to repeat.

  75. Tammie if I ever saw an owl I think I would pass out from joy! you are so lucky! I have drawn so many of them in my ACEOs, yet have never seen one in person.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. If you are looking to buy colored pencils, the Prismacolor Premier's are the favorite ones among artists. You can't go wrong with these, they are gorgeous to work with. I've tried a couple of Polychromos which are lovely too, but I haven't used enough of those to really say.
There are lots of good quality ones, just avoid the ones for students :-D
